When I stopped at Speedhut’s display at SEMA 2026, the boards full of gauges were easy to spend some time looking over. But there is a stronger reason to revisit the company this week: a New Product Award.

SEMA named Speedhut the 2026 Interior Accessory Product winner for its 5-1/2-inch gauge cluster with GPS speedometer and tachometer, designed for the 1966–77 Ford Bronco and 1961–67 Ford F-100.

According to SEMA, more than 1,300 products competed across 15 New Products Showcase categories. That makes this a specific product story worth a closer look, beyond the rows of instruments I photographed at the booth.

A Familiar Dash, With a Modern Speed Signal

In its product information, Speedhut describes a single cluster that brings together six readings: vehicle speed, engine rpm, water temperature, fuel level, voltage and oil pressure.

The practical detail that caught my attention is the GPS speedometer. Speedhut says GPS speed measurement eliminates the need for a transmission speed sender.

For a restoration or a drivetrain swap, that can remove one question about how to obtain a usable speed signal from the transmission. That is a useful implication of the design, rather than something I have verified through an installation. Owners still need to check the manufacturer’s fitment, wiring and installation requirements for their particular build.

I like the idea of combining familiar analog-style dials with modern electronics. It addresses a real consideration in a classic Ford project: how to update the information in front of the driver while keeping a traditional instrument-cluster layout.

An Award Story, Not a Road Test

The photograph here shows Speedhut’s booth and its wider gauge display. It is not a close-up identification of the award-winning Ford cluster.

I have not installed or independently tested the product, so I cannot make a judgment about its accuracy, installation time or long-term performance.

SEMA says the awards consider innovation, manufacturing quality, consumer appeal, marketability and technical achievement. It has not provided a product-specific judging explanation here. For me, the interesting angle is the combination of classic-Ford fitment and a different way to obtain the speed reading.

At a show full of dramatic vehicle builds, a dashboard instrument can be easy to overlook. This one gives me a good reason to pay attention to the smaller details, too.
