The automotive aftermarket’s biggest week returns to the Las Vegas Convention Center November 3–6. Here is what attendees need to know—and how to make the trip count.

The most memorable cars at SEMA may grab the headlines, but the real value of the show often happens a few steps away: a product demonstration, a conversation with an engineer, or an introduction that turns into a lasting business relationship.

SEMA Show 2026 runs Tuesday, November 3, through Friday, November 6, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. For automotive businesses, it is an opportunity to compare products and suppliers, explore new technology and make connections across the aftermarket. For enthusiasts, there is a separate public-access opportunity on the final day.

SEMA 2026: Dates, location and opening hours

The event takes place at 3150 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV 89109. According to the official SEMA Show website, the exhibition halls are scheduled to open:

All times are local to Las Vegas. Badge-pickup desks have their own schedules, so arriving when the show floor opens is not necessarily the fastest way to get inside.

Can the general public attend?

SEMA is primarily a professional trade show. Attendees registering as industry professionals must meet the organizer’s qualification requirements. The show is not generally open to the public on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Friday, November 6, is the public-access day. The SEMA Show Friday program requires visitors to be at least 16 years old, with a matching government-issued photo ID for ticket pickup. The organizer says Friday tickets are not available for day-of purchase, and the public-day ticket does not include SEMA Fest concert admission.

Professional badges, public-day tickets and separate event tickets are not interchangeable. Check the official registration information before paying or traveling.

What should visitors look for on the show floor?

SEMA brings together companies working in performance parts, accessories, equipment, customization, collision repair and other automotive specialties. A good visit is about more than collecting photographs of impressive builds.

One useful starting point is the New Products Showcase, where visitors can discover products and record leads for later comparison. The official floorplan can help locate suppliers before walking the halls. Build a shortlist around your goals rather than trying to see everything.

For businesses evaluating a new product, the most useful booth questions are often surprisingly simple:

A demonstration vehicle can show an attractive result. It cannot, on its own, verify durability, service costs or how the product performs in every application.

Education is a major part of SEMA week

In its October 1 announcement, SEMA outlined more than 90 education sessions scheduled for November 3–5, covering technical topics, leadership and business development. Most are free and first-come, first-served; some programs have separate fees or registration requirements.

There is also a particularly relevant pre-show event for vehicle-restyling businesses: the Auto Film Mastery Conference, scheduled for Monday, November 2, in the North Hall. Its intended audience includes window-tint installers, paint-protection-film professionals and automotive detailers. Anyone planning to attend should verify the conference’s specific admission arrangements through the current education program.

Getting to the convention center

Transportation deserves a place in the plan, especially when the schedule includes meetings in different halls. SEMA’s 2026 transportation guide lists complimentary shuttles serving more than 45 hotels, discounted Las Vegas Monorail fares and designated taxi and rideshare areas. The organizer also warns that parking will be affected by construction at the convention center.

Save the latest floorplan and the correct entrance for your first appointment. A hotel may look close to the convention center yet still be inconvenient for a meeting in a particular hall. Allow time for walking and lines, not just the ride itself.

What Best Vegas Events will cover

Best Vegas Events is following the show with a particular interest in the technologies and people behind automotive customization—including color paint protection film, window tinting, vehicle wraps and the realities of installing and supporting those products.

We plan to pursue exhibitor perspectives and original reporting as opportunities arise. This preview is based on published organizer information; it is not a firsthand report from SEMA 2026, and no interview or media accreditation is implied.
